We are seeking a high impact Director of HR Operations who thrives in a fast paced environment and operates with independence, urgency, and strong judgment. This leader will bring both strategic clarity and hands on execution to ensure HR infrastructure keeps pace with company growth.

This role requires a self directed, solutions oriented operator who does not wait for direction, anticipates risk, and drives process discipline across the enterprise.

 

HR Operations Strategy and Execution

  • Own enterprise HR operations including payroll, time and attendance, benefits administration, HR compliance, and HR systems execution
  • Build scalable processes that support rapid growth while maintaining compliance and control.
  • Drive speed, accountability, and operational discipline across all HR transactional workflows.

 

Payroll, Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across all locations and states.
  • Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws in a complex multi state environment.
  • Lead internal audits and implement controls that withstand executive and investor scrutiny.
  • Proactively identify operational risk and implement corrective action before issues escalate.

HRIS and Process Optimization

  • Partner with HRIS and IT to ensure Dayforce and related systems support operational excellence.
  • Drive automation and eliminate inefficiencies in a rapidly scaling organization.
  • Establish data governance standards that enable real time decision making.

Workforce Analytics and Reporting

  • Deliver clear, actionable workforce reporting that informs cost management and growth strategy.
  • Translate operational data into insights leadership can act on quickly.

 

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high performing HR operations team that moves with urgency and ownership.
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for precision and follow through.
  • Develop independent, problem solving capability within the function.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 8 to 12 years of progressive HR operations experience with at least 3 years leading a team.
  • Demonstrated success in high growth, fast paced environments.
  • Deep expertise in payroll, compliance, HR process governance, and operational controls.
  • Strong project management and execution discipline.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience scaling infrastructure in a rapidly growing company.
  • Familiarity with Dayforce or comparable enterprise HRIS platforms.
  • Familiarity with API integrations, data mapping, and middleware tools
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or related tools a plus
  • SPHR, SHRM SCP, or equivalent certification preferred.

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000 and may vary based on market value, location, skills, and experience.
