Our Production Associates work together in a team environment in our healthcare laundry plant in Weslaco, TX. 

PAY: $11.50/hour 

SHIFT: 5:30am-4:00pm (10 Hour shifts ~ 4 Day Workweek, may work extended hours when necessary)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load Management

• Receive loads from tunnel press or extractor and verify load classification (tags, barcodes, or batch sheets).
• Prevent cross-mixing of classifications.

Dryer Operation

• Monitor dryers, ensuring proper heat, airflow, and drum rotation.
• Adjust cycle parameters to prevent overdrying, under-drying, or fabric damage.

Unloading & Staging

• Unload dryers promptly to avoid bottlenecks and maintain production flow.
• Check dryness and quality; re-run cycles as needed.
• Stage goods for the next production area (folders, ironers, carts, or manual sorting).
• Maintain organization and prevent mix-ups during load transitions.

Equipment Care & Safety

• Clean lint traps and screens at required intervals.
• Keep the dryer area clean, clear, and free of obstruction.
• Report equipment irregularities immediately (heat issues, ignition failure, airflow restrictions, noise).
• Follow all safety regulations.

Production Flow Coordination

• Communicate with the tunnel operator to avoid press backups or downtime.
• Coordinate with finishing operators to ensure steady feeding of goods.
• Document and tag rewashes, damaged linens, or special-handling loads.

Quality Assurance

• Inspect goods for moisture consistency, staining, tangles, or damage after drying.
• Ensure loads meet ImageFIRST quality standards before releasing to finishing.
• Identify and escalate unusual fabric issues (melted fibers, scorching, residue).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to present two valid forms of identification upon hire
• Must be able to perform required tasks standing up for the duration of the shift
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required and work on feet for long periods of time.
• Flexibility to complete special requests as needed
• Basic understanding of machine controls and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
