Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Total Rewards, who has a strong Compensation and analytical focus, to lead the design, development, and execution of our total rewards strategy in alignment with organizational goals. With more than 4,000 associates across multiple locations, this role will drive equitable, competitive, and scalable compensation and rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver at heart - someone who thrives on complexity, connects the dots between data and decisions, and has the business acumen to translate strategy into talent and financial outcomes. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and HR partners, offering insight and solutions that drive organizational performance and talent engagement.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of broad-based compensation strategies, salary structures, and incentive programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Continuously assess and evolve total rewards offerings using market research, business priorities, and workforce analytics.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the executive team, providing forward-thinking insights on workforce economics, talent strategy, and cost modeling.
  • Drive problem-solving and scenario planning related to opportunities during acquisitions, reorganizations, and high-growth initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives to influence decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance and HR Leadership on annual merit, bonus, and equity budgeting and planning cycles.
  • Oversee job architecture, market benchmarking, leveling, and internal equity processes across the enterprise.
  • Advise senior leaders on compensation-related decisions including offers, promotions, and organizational design changes.
  • Drive the use of compensation analytics, dashboards, and modeling to support pay transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Management of Compensation Analyst

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or related field required
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation and total rewards
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide compensation initiatives in organizations with 4,000+ employees; multi-state experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Excel, HRIS (e.g., Dayforce, Workday), and market pricing tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Salary.com).
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to lead change and operate with agility in a fast-paced, growing environment
