Position: Chief of Staff

Job Summary:
ImageFirst is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief of Staff, based in Elmsford, NY, to support our CEO in driving the company's vision and executing key initiatives. As a trusted advisor and integral member of the executive team, the Chief of Staff will play a crucial role in coordinating cross-functional efforts, managing high-priority projects, and ensuring seamless communication across the organization. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented leader with exceptional organizational skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Role Description:

  • Critical Support: Focused on being a critical node in the support network for the CEO. Participate in key Senior Leadership Team (SLT) functions, but not as an active member of the SLT.
  • Engagement: Engage the greater SLT and ImageFIRST leadership team on key strategic initiatives across functions, including:
    • Key Strategic, Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead portions of Operating Rhythm Functional Reviews with key leaders to advance key functions/initiatives in a cadence.
    • Operating Rhythm: Aid CEO/CFO/CAO in evolving operating rhythm, coordinating cadence, establishing KPIs, recording/measuring action items/progress.
    • CEO Coordination / Support: Flex responsibilities to the needs of the business, with an opportunity to increase leverage beyond what is possible for one person through adding 1-2 analyst resources.
    • Act as a proxy for the CEO in key meetings/decisions, etc. Integrate and extend the role of CAO as well.
  • Indirectly Drive Towards Enterprise Goals:

 

    • Exceptional Associates: Drive consistency in customer experience and company culture – anchored in ImageFirst’s purpose, priority, values, and vision. Invest in new talent for a pipeline of home-grown leaders that will help ImageFirst succeed in its next phase of growth.
    • Operational Excellence: Formalize performance cadence to have data-backed discussions rooted in the right KPIs that result in specific decisions focused on driving impact, with discipline in closing out.
    • Profitable Growth: Examine and possibly restructure sales team to increase effectiveness. Evaluate transition to adjacent products/services, particularly with specialty customers where we have high margins and close relationships. Contribute to efforts to reinvigorate M&A momentum.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Special Projects: Empowered by the CEO to lead priority initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful execution and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Eyes and Ears: Act as the CEO's representative across the organization, providing candid feedback and counsel. Convene internal stakeholders, shape perspectives, and serve as a close advisor to the CEO.
  • Governance: Manage governance committees and routines, including setting the executive team agenda, tracking KPIs, and ensuring delivery of commitments. Hold leaders accountable to their objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Administrator: Oversee calendaring and agenda setting for key aspects of ImageFIRST's operating rhythm, ensuring efficient operations and protecting the CEO from distractions.
  • CEO Proxy: Communicate and act on behalf of the CEO in both public and private settings, increasing the CEO's "surface area." Make smaller decisions initially, with the scope of responsibilities growing over time.
