Responsibilities & Qualifications

Regional Controller

Location: Dallas, TX

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Regional Controller to support financial operations across Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Denver. Acting as a key partner to the Regional Vice President and site General Managers, this role combines accounting expertise with business insight to drive accuracy, efficiency, and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary financial advisor to regional operations, partnering closely with the RVP and site leadership.

    • Lead all regional month-end close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of financial statements.

    • Review, analyze, and present monthly financial results, investigating variances and recommending corrective actions.

    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and corporate financial policies.

    • Collaborate with corporate Accounting, FP&A, and Operations to align on reporting, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.

    • Provide financial leadership in the budgeting and forecasting processes across all regional sites.

    • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.

    • Support internal and external audits, tax preparation, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting;
  • CPA required
  • 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership over multi-site operations
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—must be able to influence non-financial stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed up to 15%

Preferred:

  • Public accounting background (Big 4 or mid-tier)
  • Oracle and SmartView experience
  • Experience in healthcare, logistics, or other field-based service environments
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and consolidations is a plus
