Responsibilities & Qualifications

Due to growth, we are hiring a Human Resources Manager for our start-up plant in Pittsburg, CA.

 

PAY RANGE:  $85K - $105K + bonus  

*Relocation Assistance may be available within CA

 

 

The Human Resources Manager will support multiple locations in the Northwest region, including Pittsburg, Gilroy, and Hayward, CA; Seattle, WA; Denver and Colorado Springs, CO (Food & Beverage.)

 

General HR Responsibilities:

  • Has field oversight for 6 plants initially, as a Human Resources Business Partner
  • Completes on-site location reports and provides feedback and advice to the upper management team regarding HR issues presented by employees, and offers solutions
  • Serve as liaison between associates and location management; address and resolve concerns in the company as they arise, while demonstrating a high level of visibility and accessibility in the plants, reinforcing the company’s open-door policy
  • Work with managers and employees to resolve diverse employee relations issues such as harassment, discrimination, etc.
  • Supports organizational change by seeking and developing ways for the plants to be most effective
  • Monitors documents used to evaluate, correct and enhance job performance and other workplace behaviors (PIP’s and Corrective Action Plans), assuring overall fairness and consistency, and meeting business requirements
  • Provides coaching and consulting to managers in order to enhance their people and performance management skills

  • Enrolling newly eligible associates and assisting with the Annual Open Enrollment Process

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Process location Unemployment Compensation paperwork
  • Coordinate and execute employee engagement activities and maintain the local Community Giving program; create and present quarterly meetings to keep the team updated on the progress of the program
  • Serve as a mentor to location HR Generalists, offer training and advice on HR related duties and compliance
  • Metrics reporting; headcount, turnover and other reports on an as-needed basis

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR Management experience
  • Field HR Support experience required
  • Must be based in Pittsburg CA and willing to travel 35-40% to regional sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • ADP/Dayforce experience a plus
