Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s HR systems, ensuring accurate data management, reporting, and system functionality. This role works closely with HR, IT, and business leaders to improve HR processes and support decision-making through effective use of HR systems and technology.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance & Support:
    • Administer and maintain HRIS platforms, ensuring data integrity and system stability.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for HRIS-related questions and system issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating to IT or vendors as needed.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    • Manage employee data within the HRIS, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
    • Create, generate, and analyze standard and custom reports for HR, management, and leadership.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key HR metrics like turnover, headcount, and performance.
  • System Configuration & Optimization:
    • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and implement process improvements within HRIS systems.
    • Configure system settings and roles, ensuring security and compliance with company policies.
    • Stay up to date on HR technology trends and best practices to ensure systems are optimized for business needs.
  • User Training & Documentation:
    • Provide end-user training and support for HRIS users to ensure smooth adoption and efficient system use.
    • Create and maintain user guides and system documentation.
  • System Integration & Projects:
    • Partner with IT and external vendors to ensure successful integration between HRIS and other business systems.
    • Lead or assist in HR technology projects, including system upgrades, testing, and implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in HRIS administration or similar role.
    • Familiarity with HR processes (payroll, benefits, recruiting, etc.).
    • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Dayforce, Cornerstone, iCIMS is a plus
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data analysis).
    • Experience with report writing and analytics tools such as Power BI
    • Familiarity with system integrations is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
