Responsibilities & Qualifications

We have a great growth opportunity for a PLANT MANAGER to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada!

 

WORK SCHEDULE:  Production runs Monday-Friday days

PAY RANGE:  $105K - $115K + bonus

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a hospitality  laundry facility. Like in a manufacturing environment, a Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in all aspects of production while driving continuous improvement and optimization processes. This role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record running a plant, a good understanding of lean principles, and is fully committed to fostering a safe work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to a team of supervisors and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, quality and continuous improvement
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the plant, including production planning, labor forecasting, staffing, quality assurance, and maintenance
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations; implement and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
  • Process Improvement: Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies and ability to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
  • Budget and Cost Control: Manage plant budgets and expenditures effectively; control costs and look for opportunities to reduce expenses without sacrificing quality or safety
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure adequate supply of materials and manage inventory levels
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on plant performance, including key metrics, production goals, and any issues or challenges
  • Employee Development: Develop and mentor staff, providing guidance and training as needed to enhance their skills and capabilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing,or related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with proven success in plant management
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Solid understanding of safety, quality, and environmental regulations
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling costs effectively
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop actionable solutions
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Military leadership experience 
  • MBA
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification
  • PMP – Project Management Professional
  • Familiar with Environmental Management Such as ISO 14001/ISO 9001
  • GMP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Access, Word and Adobe
  • Experience with ERP systems and other manufacturing software tools
