Responsibilities & Qualifications

The primary focus of the Director of Operations position is to provide support in each plant in a Region, drive safety compliance and performance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a region
  • Coach/Development of new Plant Managers
  • Drive daily process improvement in assigned territory.
  • Manage productivity reporting & performance for the assigned territory.
  • Work closely with Senior Management in developing long-term operational strategies that meet the company’s objectives.
  • Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
  • Foster a safe work environment
  • Support and training of plants on internal plant productivity systems
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments on projects and new initiatives
  • Responsible for training and certification of all compliance areas

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations  
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple locations
  • Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
  • Travel requirement (75%)
  • Must thrive in a progressive environment
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Power Point, and general PC applications 
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up, creativity, problem solving, conflict management, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive performance without formal authority
